AIGA Pittsburgh will be hosting Shutterstock's Pixels of Fury, a live design competition. This competition pits designers against one another in a high-speed challenge, cheered on by the audience. With the judges and crowd watching, the pressure is on to create the most compelling work before the clock runs out. Whose inspiration will shine brightest?
Competitors face off in 20-minute rounds at computer stations with their process shown live on screens for the audience to watch, creating original posters with a common challenge. In each round, a winner is selected by votes from the judges and the audience. In the championship round, the finalists face off, tackling the topics their opponents used to advance in the previous rounds.
Pixels of Fury will be held at Pierce Studio, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Education Center. Enjoy drinks and appetizers, meet the creative community, and listen to music spun by DJ MB (Matthew Buchholz of Alternate Histories), all while cheering on some of the best designers in Pittsburgh.
