Design Talk is an event series focused on having conversations about design. The conversations can focus on any design topic from different resources such books, podcasts, articles, community members, creative leaders, and more.

Episode 8 - Rinat Sherzer on Biomimicry and Gender in Design

Interdisciplinary biotech engineer, social entrepreneur and designer Rinat Sherzer talks with Lee-Sean Huang about biomimicry and gender in design. Rinat is the founder of Of Course Global, a social innovation design consultancy, helping businesses be a force for good in society. In her practice, Rinat combines principles from biomimicry & speculative design to create a cultural shift towards an egalitarian society by exploring the menstrual cycle and de-shaming it, which she explained further in her TEDx Talk: The Bloody Taboo With The Power To Change The World.

For our virtual meetups, we will be using Zoom. Attendees will receive an email with the Zoom information before the meetup. Zoom is available to use with a web browser or with the Zoom app. The app is available to download in the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

Meetup activity and questions will be sent to attendees prior to the meetup.
