PKN is the one and only event for local creatives to meet and network while presenters share their stories, collections, products or work in 6 minutes and 40 seconds of exquisitely matched words and images. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of conversation (“chit chat”), it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

Interested in Presenting?
If so, then here’s what you’ll need to do…
• Prepare 3-4 images that best represent the content of your proposed presentation. It can be on absolutely anything!
• Include your name, and the title and a brief outline of the presentation.
• Compile a brief artist statement, or bio, or resume, or CV to be used for promotional purposes.
• Send all of the above to info@aiapgh.org by Thursday, July 3rd.

If selected to present, you will need to prepare 20 slides, which will be displayed for only 20 seconds per slide (20 images x 20 seconds). The slides keep moving, so you only have a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds to share your work. It’s fast and fun, and heckling from the audience is encouraged, all in good humor of course!
