PGH 365 Recap

PGH365: AIGA Pittsburgh’s Annual Design Competition and Exhibition

A celebration of the designer’s struggle and success in finding solutions that are effective, meaningful, and beautiful.

AIGA Pittsburgh’s PGH365 2015 event was held on March 27 at SmartSolutions Technologies on the North Side and showcased 313 entries of design work submitted by regional professionals and students. Entries included print campaigns, publications, posters, websites and multimedia; all of which demonstrated the designer’s role, the creative process and the value of design to the community.

PGH365 2015 had a great turnout. Attendees had the opportunity to view the design entries and were entertained throughout the night thanks to the many sponsors: Portfolio Creative, SmartSolutions Technologies, Commonwealth Press, The Printing Post, Lindenmeyr Munroe, Penn Brewery, Imagebox, DJ 7UP, and Photographer Matt Dayak.

The judges, Kate Bingaman-Burt (Illustrator, and Associate Professor of Graphic Design, Portland State University), Helen Rice (Creative Director, Fuzzco) and Jonnie Hallman (Designer, Developer, Cushion App) chose 99 selected pieces of work from the 313 entries.
